Research for #2 Question of CCR

Research for #2 Question of CCR

What's up! Today I will be planning my CCR for question #2. I feel that my prep for question #1 is not adequate enough so I am going to start going into more detail when prepping.

Question
How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

Step #1- Script
Our target audience includes viewers ages 17-50, with a mostly adult audience attracted to our drama, which is typical for this genre. Adult audiences, especially ones with low socioeconomic status, are engaged by the financial issues and sense of reality that the film explores. Men enjoy the concept of a risky game, and women enjoy the film because they can relate to Alea emotionally, which is typical when it comes to dramas. Despite age and gender, our target audience is anyone that appreciates emotion and thought-provoking films as it makes viewers question the extent to which someone should go to become debt free and because of this, it is possible for a wider variety of audiences to enjoy the film too. Our film opening contains a lot of suspense, like, with the anonymous phone call, to keep audiences engaged. Also, by not explicitly stating Alea's situation we force audiences think about it themselves, and thus keep audiences engaged. Since I am an amateur filmmaker, my goal is exposure, rather than revenue. I am going to self-distribute my film by self-publishing it onto Vimeo on Demand and Amazon Prime Direct. In an attempt to maximize my earnings, I will put my film on advertising-based video on demand platforms, like Tubi and YouTube. Because I am using cross-media convergence- distribution and will release my film for free, I am able to increase my exposure since it is easier for audiences to discover and watch it.

Step #2- Resources
Research Content
- put vid of anony. phone call
- put vid of Alea stressed out (women relate)
