Hi! Today I will be sharing a soundscape of sounds that will be heard in our film opening. The soundscape includes diegetic and synchronous sounds. The main sounds are...

- A sports game playing on the TV

- The microwave beeping

- The microwave door opening and closing

- Chewing popcorn

- Flipping through mail

- A phone call (from the anonymous caller)

Finding the non-copyrighted audio for the sports game was not easy! We were hoping to find one of a horse race since that is a sport people tend to bet on, but we changed it to a sound of a typical sports game with cheering and an announcer. By doing this, we were able to find a sound to use. 

We are not sure about adding music over our film opening. We feel it will distract from the sounds of the sports game and the microwave beeping. These are important sounds in our film opening because they will reflect Alea's tension rising as she watches the game. 

This soundscape is only an idea of what audio will be in our film opening. A lot of these sounds will be recorded ourselves. This includes the "Hello" which will be voiced by my partner who will be acting and the phone ringing sound will probably be recreated with one of our phones to match a typical, modern phone ringtone.
